Colonel Santosh Babu and 20 Indian soldiers martyred at the India-China border during the recent face-off between soldiers of the two countries.
A Candle March was organized by the Helping Hands Association at Market Yard, Devarkonda at 6PM on 18 June. All the members in and around town were informed to participate for honouring the Javans, who sacrificed their life for the sake of India.
A vow of silence was conducted at Market Yard and Candle March was organised from by the members from Market yard to Bus Stand via. Meenakshi X Road. This March was a great success with participation of about 120 members.
Participants: Kesa Naresh, Hamanthu Srinivas, Hamanthu Sai, Ale Srikanth, Nagaraju and many others.
